What are the lease tearms?
The terms for Family/Monthly Housing are based on the GT academic calendar. Students may apply for the Academic Year term and the Summer term. The contract (lease) is for the complete term. Unlike all other Georgia Tech on-campus housing, Family/Monthly rent is paid monthly (first and last months rent are prorated from move-in and move-out dates).
I'm a single grad student, can I rent a two-bedroom unfurnished apartment?
No. Single graduate students may rent one-bedroom, unfurnished apartments. Single graduate students are also eligible to apply for furnished two, four, and six-person apartments at the Graduate Living Center (GLC) and 10th and Home. You can view the residence halls and floor plans on the Explore Residence Halls page.
My domestic partner is planning to live with me in on-campus housing, am I required to provide documentation?
Yes. You may apply for Family/Monthly housing and indicate that you have a domestic partner. Please visit the Resource tab in the My Housing portal to upload the approved domestic partner documentation from the Dean of Students prior to move-in.
How do I pay rent?
Rent is paid on a monthly basis for this type of housing. Monthly rent is due on or before the first business day of each month. Late fees are charged to the account if the rent is not paid by 2:00 p.m. on the tenth day of the month.
Rent is paid to the Bursar's office. You can pay online through bursar.gatech.edu/content/student-payment-instructions.
