Move-In Day
Monday, July 13
  • Students must sign up for a move-in appointment.
  • Move-out is August 8. All students are required to move-out of their FYSA summer housing on August 8, so pack light!
  • Summer Housing: All FYSA students will live together in Hefner or Armstrong Residence Hall for the summer.

Day of Move-in:

  • Before you depart for campus, review the map of how to get to campus and find check-in.
  • Plan to arrive at check-in at the time of your move-in appointment. It is extremely important to arrive on time to prevent delays heading to your visa appointment. To be on time for your visa appointment, you must be checked into your housing assignment by 2:00 p.m.
  • Once your belongings are in your room, you have options:
    • If you plan to visit local stores to stock up on your needs, know that you will not be able to return to your unloading zone until after 6 p.m. You will need to go back to your long term parking area.
    • If needed, submit a facilities request for repairs in your space, bed lofting requests, etc.

Connect with your RA about your first floor meeting and other welcome activities.

Arriving Late without a BuzzCard?

Students arriving to campus via non-official check-in days should …

visit their area office Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  At the office students will receive BuzzCard and assistance on the self check-in process. Moving bins will not be available on non-official move-in days.

Students arriving to campus after hours and without a BuzzCard should….

If arriving after hours (after 5:00 p.m. or weekends), students should go to their hall and call the Resident Assistant on Duty (RAoD).  The phone number for the RAoD should be posted on a blue card on or near the entrances of the buildings.  The RAoD will be able to check the student in and let the student into their room.  The next day, the student will then need to go to their area office to pick up their BuzzCard.
