Each community is fully staffed with dedicated team members ready to support residents, ensuring that students’ needs are our top priority. Our staff members are committed to creating a supportive and engaging environment where students can thrive. Here’s a list of our staff and their roles:
Associate Directors for Residence Life: These professional staff members manage and implement the housing student conduct process and supervise the Assistant Directors for Community Areas.
Assistant Directors for Community Areas: These professional staff members are responsible for Area Offices, facility management, and supervision of their area Hall Directors.
Area Office Managers: These professional staff members manage the Area Offices, including supervising student staff and maintaining the administrative functions for the office.
Hall Directors (HD): These professional staff members live in the residence halls and assume responsibility for the operation of a residence hall. This includes supervising student staff, advising and counseling individuals and groups, managing crisis, enforcing Residence Hall Community Policies, and serve as Housing Conduct Administrators for the Department of Housing and Residence Life.
Coordinator for Leadership and Advising : This professional staff member is responsible for providing guidance to professional staff on Hall Council advising and is the designated advisor for the Residence Hall Association (RHA). This staff member also oversees leadership programming within Residence Life.
Coordinator for Student Staff Training and Development : This professional staff member is responsible for providing guidance on student staff selection, training, and development.
Staff and Community Development Coordinator : This professional staff member is responsible for maintaining student housing policies, student conduct process and Residential Student Conduct Board.
Community Supervisors : Full-time employees who oversee custodial services and maintenance of the residence halls. They handle work requests, facility cleaning, and conduct periodic maintenance inspections.
Office Assistants (OAs) : Georgia Tech students who work in community offices and are supervised by Area Office Managers. They are responsible for day-to-day administrative responsibilities in the community offices during business hours.
Resident Assistants (RAs): Our student staff members (SSMs) who live with a designated group of residents in traditional, suite-style, family, and apartment buildings. They are responsible for the management of their halls and buildings, including advising and counseling individuals and groups, planning programs, enforcing hall policies, and managing administrative functions.
