Looking to find community on campus?
The First-Year Wellness Experience at Georgia Tech is a comprehensive program designed to support the health and well-being of all first-year residents living on campus. It integrates wellness initiatives into residential life, offering resources and activities that promote physical, mental, and social wellness. Every first-year student will participate in this program, ensuring they have the tools and support needed to thrive during their transition to college life.
Georgia Tech offers several Living Learning Communities (LLCs) for first-year and transfer students, including Explore, Global Leadership, Grand Challenges, and the John H. Martinson Honors Program. These communities provide unique opportunities to engage with faculty, collaborate with peers, and participate in specialized programming that aligns with students’ interests. By joining an LLC, students can enhance their collegiate experience through academic support, social connections, and personal growth.
The Georgia Tech John H. Martinson Honors Program (JMHP) fosters curiosity, creativity, and connection—to the JMHP, Georgia Tech, and communities beyond.
John H. Martinson Honors Program students are encouraged to pursue their curiosity, creativity, and connection across disciplinary boundaries and the boundary between theory and practice. In advancing its mission, the JMHP enhances the capacity of our highly motivated students and future alumni to advance the Georgia Tech mission of “Progress and Service.”
The Transfer-Year Experience (TYE) is designed for pathway students to help them transition smoothly to campus life. This program offers a supportive community where transfer students can live together, making it easier to connect with peers who are also adjusting to a new environment. By participating in this experience, students gain access to tailored resources and activities that enhance their academic and social integration.
The I-House Living Learning Community is designed for both exchange and degree-seeking students, offering a vibrant and diverse living environment. I-House fosters intercultural connections and provides opportunities for students to engage in various cultural and social activities. With dedicated support from faculty and staff, students can easily adjust to life at Georgia Tech while building meaningful relationships with peers from around the world.
